Attention: All UMAA Member and friends
“EXPOSED: The ONE Decision
That
Will Take Your Martial Art
Training
To Your Next Higher
Level
Of Mastery”
Dear UMAA Member,
Have you read the Jim Collins’ bestseller
Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make
the Leap... and Others Don’t?
Do you realize how the title immediately relates to your
training here at Unified Martial Art? Of course you do!
Perhaps you’ve met people who are members of that ignoble group of
humans who “used to take martial art”.
You’ve obviously decided that you will not be part of that group
and that’s why you’re here. Day in, day out. Week in, week out.
Month in, month out. And in some instances, year in, year out!
You’ve come to learn that not only in martial art is there always
a next level, you’ve also grasped the idea that it’s the same in
your everyday life. But still the questions linger, “How
exactly do I get to that next level?” What exactly does
it take to achieve greatness in martial art?”
Can
you handle the truth? Beware, ‘cause there’re no easy answers
here. Truth is it takes time, it takes practice, it takes blood,
it takes sweat, it takes years and it can take tears!
BUT,
and it’s a big but… there are certain shortcuts that you must
take. One of these shortcuts is making use of seminars and
workshops whenever you can. And right now, you have the
opportunity to do just that!
Announcing the UMAA Summer Seminar Series! A
top of the line sequence of mini-events which will focus on
building your skill in multiple aspects of the fighting arts!
Seminar

Jun
Fan Gung Fu Trapping Hands Workshop
(taught by Sihing Jay Montalvo
with special participation by Sifu Dwight)
WHEN: Saturday, Sunday

July 11-12, 2009
TIME:
12:00pm- 2:00pm

-
Coordination drills for trapping hands – how to get the hands
and the feet moving
-
Upper body/lower body coordination – how to trap the high line
and
the low line
-
Simple
traps, compound traps – trap and hit one time, trap and hit many
times
-
Trap to do something – how trapping fits into the fight
continuum
-
“Energy” drills … and much, much more!
According to Sifu Dwight, during the 1980s the Jun Fan Gung Fu
Trapping Hands (known as Phon Sao) is what distinguished
Jeet Kune Do training from everything else out there.
Now you have a chance to get the same “hands-on” experience that
will give you that elusive fighting edge and transform you into a
trapping hands wizard able to “tie up” (trap) your opponents’
limbs and hit ‘em before they even see you coming!
Print out the registration form below and turn it in at the
TeamUMAA office for the Jun Fan Gung Fu Trapping Hands
Workshop!
Warmest Regards,
Team UMAA!

P.S. Registration deadline is Thursday, July 9th
and no later! There’s a limited amount of space and it’s
first-come, first-served, so reserve your spot now! If you wait
too long you’ll miss this special opportunity to train in one of
the most revolutionary aspects of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do.
